SELECT SURF REPORT:

East Coast Situation:
Updated Monday 8th September 2008
Your best chance of a wave looks likely to be some south easterly windwaves as the next and pssibly final low of this long sequence comes in later this week. Otherwise it looks rather small to flat but as always with the east coast if you go to the best spots at the best tide times you will probably find a ride. - SoulSurfer

NOTE: The above data is for deep water ocean swells, and does not mean that waves at the beach will be that size or direction. It does however provide a valuable indication of the swell size, direction and winds for the next 72 hours. The most reliable indication of actual conditions is an Eyeball Surf Report, as on most of our surf report pages.

Whitby is a beach break that is popular in small surf. It works best on low to mid tide near to the harbour. It is one of the few surf spots that are sheltered from the southeasterly wind, due to the harbour wall. Please show respect to the locals. Whitby is one of Yorkshire's seaside gems, with its sandy beach, cobbled streets and harbour.
