Godrevy and Gwithian Eyeball Surf Report
Report for 11th MAY 2008
All a bit foggy down here this morning, but all set to clear L8R offering a pleasant beach day. At a guess I would say the waves are knee to thigh high at best. With light N winds.

General Surf Situation
Small conditions in light winds, to be honest very little surf about.

Weather Forecast:
Headline:
Some very warm hazy sunshine. Isolated thundery showers.

Today:
Most places will be dry and very warm with some hazy sunshine once and overnight haze of mist clears. However, high temperatures may trigger isolated thundery showers in the west this afternoon for most it will be dry.

Tonight:
Further sunshine into the evening with any thundery showers slowly dying out. Thereafter, the night should be dry, and perhaps a little cooler and fresher than recently.

Monday:
A fresh start, but it will be a dry day with plenty of sunshine. It will feel very warm by afternoon, but with refreshing onshore sea breezes near coasts.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
It should remain dry and warm on Tuesday and Wednesday with plenty of sunshine. However, there is an increasing risk of scattered thundery showers later.

NOTE: The above data is for deep water ocean swells, and does not mean that waves at the beach will be that size or direction. It does however provide a valuable indication of the swell size, direction and winds for the next 72 hours. The most reliable indication of actual conditions is an Eyeball Surf Report, as on most of our surf report pages.

Gwithian and Godrevy are located at the extreme NE of St. Ives Bay - a series of breaks from Godrevy at one end to the Island in St Ives at the other. A large expanse of sand at low tide, giving way to idyllic coves at high tide. This is reckoned to be one of the best surfing areas in England
