British Isles Surf Prospects 4 - 14 May 2012
Some waves from the west this week but no proper swells as northerly winds are still in charge.

A low coming on from the southwest will bring a few south westerly waves. As it tracks north east the main thrust of the winds is still north easterly down the Atlantic to the west of Ireland. High pressure will move in briefly at the weekend to bring brighter weather but the main feature after the weekend is another big low from the north over the British Isles.

A period of easterlies in the south Heralds a slow return to "normality"

An intense low centred just west of Lands End is bringing violent weather to the southern part if the British Isles while a tongue of high pressure stretches out over the north. What was forecast as a long northerly push down the Atlantic to the west of the British isles has broken into two lows one to the north and one to the south. The low to the north will now push more waves down the north sea should push swells down for the east coast but the low to the south will bring north easterly winds across the southern part of the British Isles.
