Locally very heavy, thundery rain moving slowly northeastwards.
Today:
Locally very heavy, thundery rain in Cornwall and Devon will edge slowly northeastwards, although Gloucestershire and Wiltshire will remain mainly dry and bright until later. Drier, brighter conditions will gradually follow into Cornwall and Devon. Hot again in the east.
Tonight:
Outbreaks of locally heavy, thundery rain will gradually clear away northeastwards as drier conditions with only isolated showers already into western areas follows to all parts. Warm and humid.
Friday:
Bright or sunny intervals and a few showers, the best of the sunshine probably developing later in the day. Slightly less warm than of late, and not quite as humid.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Unsettled with a mixture of sunny intervals and scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy with a risk of thunder. Temperatures gradually returning to nearer normal values.
