As a child of an English Father and a Kiwi Mother, Oli grew up with endless summers perfecting his surfing, and it shows. He has been surfing since the tender age of six, when he can recall his mother pushing him into the surf with his board; but it must have paid off as growing up Oli held titles in both New Zealand and Great Britain.
Although Oli enjoys competing, his real aims and goals are to keep travelling and searching for new and better waves which challenge and inspire him. The next adventure begins in the next few weeks when Oli goes on a photo trip to Mexico. He’s a natural in front of the camera and this is one of many he has to look forward to in 2012; he will also be appearing in more Protest webisodes and looks forward to working with C-Skins on their Winter 12’ Wetsuit collection video.
For Oli, the decision to align himself with a core European wetsuit brand was a no brainer. Oli remarked “ I'm so stoked to be riding for C-SKINS as I really believe that they are solely focused on making the best wetsuits – that’s it! The equipment I use is such a vital part of my surfing so to be wearing C-Skins is a great step for me ”. He stated that the new Winter 2012 HotWired test suits have been amazingly warm and flexible and he can’t wait to start surfing in them full time, whether on tour or just free surfing his home break at Fistral, Newquay .
