We've had this message from Mark who runs south coast surf site MellowWave.co.uk to let us know about a plan by the local council to introduce "swim-only zones" to the beaches of Bracklesham and East Wittering. If approved this could have a major effect on where people can surf. Here's Mark's appeal for people to complete an e-survey to give their views...
Attention all Wittering surfers, kitesurfers, windsurfers, stand up paddle surfers etc

The West Sussex Council in all their wisdom are trying to block off some of local beach's for "swim-only areas". That means no Kitesurfing, no Windsurfing and no Surfing. Get online now, on the link and express your feelings.

Support your local beaches!

We need you all to help protect the Wittering and Bracklesham beaches by filling in this survey.

We need to get on this guys its important for all us as well as the local businesses.

Note: there is no separate section for surfing, you will need to fill in the comments area to mention this specifically.
