WEATHER
A warm sunny day.

Today:
After a few pockets of mist and fog in the east of the region clears, it will be a fine dry day with lots of sunshine. Some low cloud on the south coast at times. Light to moderate easterly winds.

Tonight:
A fine clear evening will be followed by a dry night. A little cloud is likely to develop along southern coasts and there may be some mist and fog inland.

Friday:
Slightly cloudier than Thursday but generally dry with good spells of hazy sunshine. Any cloud should fade away during the day. Light southeasterly winds; moderate on southern coasts.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Staying dry for the most part, with a chance of rain in the far west on Monday. Generally a little cloudier than of late. A strengthening south or southeasterly wind.

It does however provide a valuable indication of the swell size, direction and winds for the next 72 hours. I am often being asked about the information sources that I use so I will list them in detail and the order in which I look at them before putting a forecast together.

I was the chap who sold the board to Bill Bailey in Newquay which he used to start Bilbo way back (part of story is in "you should have been here yesterday - roots of Brit surf" I'm now in California, but I like to track UK surf and I used to check Devon reports and enjoyed the Dig Pics which I could enlarge. Is there any way of finding them again? They were the best visual I have found. (I may have been the first to surf Devon on a mal in '61) I always appreciated the daily look at Devon.

Currently the new website does not keep an archive of prictures of previous webcam pictures. I am trying to get this archive reinstated on the new website. I used to make use of these archives to watch how surf was developing during the day and tide and reccommended others to do the same. If you used archive pictures I would like to know.
