Wet and windy today but drier overnight.
Today:
After many places get off to a dry start, heavy rain will gradually move east across the region accompanied by strong and gusty southeasterly winds.
Tonight:
Most places having a dry night with some clear spells, but also the chance for the odd heavy shower. Strong winds easing.
Tuesday:
A day of sunny periods and scattered, occasionally heavy and thundery showers, although most parts will be dry by the evening. Winds remain light.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Remaining unsettled with sunshine and showers each day, with some of these showers becoming heavy at times. Chance of more persistent rain on Friday. Temperatures remain near normal.
