 BBC releases Auto-Sleepers British bodyboard tour update

Intermittent swell conditions have forced some rescheduling on the 2010 Auto Sleepers British Bodyboard tour, but dates and entry forms for the remaining 3 events are now up on the BBC website. |

Event 2 – The Overhead Wedge Air Jam is now scheduled for the 13-14th August, with entries carried forward from the previous date. Contingent upon swell conditions, early rounds may be run on Friday evening (13th) with the main event run on two tides on Saturday 14th August at Tolcarne beach. Any entrants who cannot make the rescheduled date can claim a refund if they give notice before 7 August. Please watch out for further updates.
Event 3 – The Greenaway Pro will run on 18-21st August on Porthmeor St Ives. The bodyboard and Open divisions will run over the Friday and Saturday, and entry forms can be found at www.greenawaypro.co.uk
1st place prize is £400, 2nd £200, 3rd £100 and 4th place is £50; with additional prizes for best wave and best placed non-pro.
The Greenaway Pro is a charity fund raising event and is hosting two live music events; an acoustic performance at St. Ives Cinema on Friday and the official After-Party on Saturday, crowning the event winners. Note: entry to the competition does not include entry to the music events; these have to be purchased separately.
Event 4 – The Auto Sleepers British Nationals, 2-3 October. Entry forms are available on the BBC website and full entry details will be released later this week. |
