Weak swell, messed up by northerly wind
The weakness in the swell has allowed it to become cut to pieces by the northerly wind. Save the effort for next week when we should hopefully see the return of meaningful swell. Sorry.
WEATHER
Cold with rain and sleet clearing overnight.
Today:
A mostly cloudy day to come with some outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. Some of this could turn to sleet or snow over the hills later in the day. Although winds will be light it will feel cold.
Tonight:
Staying cloudy for much of the night with further rain, sleet and perhaps snow over the hills. Some heavier bursts of rain are likely before it edges away southwards.
Wednesday:
A mostly dry and cloudy start with some brightness around. Further outbreaks of light rain are likely to move in from the northeast during the day. Some snow over hills.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Remaining cold with some wintry showers and some sunshine. It stays very cold over the weekend but many places will stay dry with just the odd sleet or snow shower.
