Well there we go, what a lovely morning!  Clear blue, blue skies, a big and lazy sun, gentle, gentle breezes but, only real small waves.  It is rideable but not much more than a foot really, sheet glass but a foot at best.  And there's no real sign of any expected improvement any time soon.  If it was summer, you'd be all over it but in these still very cold temperatures (scraping thick ice off the 'screen this morning in minus 3 deg C), well, actually it could still be a heap of fun on a longboard.
We've got a 'Mate's Rates' surfboard Sale on this weekend, so if you're thinking of getting a Rusty, Webber, Walden, 7S or a bunch of others, then drop in on us and see what we have.

WEATHER
Cold with rain and sleet clearing overnight.

Today:
A mostly cloudy day to come with some outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. Some of this could turn to sleet or snow over the hills later in the day. Although winds will be light it will feel cold.

Tonight:
Staying cloudy for much of the night with further rain, sleet and perhaps snow over the hills. Some heavier bursts of rain are likely before it edges away southwards.

Wednesday:
A mostly dry and cloudy start with some brightness around. Further outbreaks of light rain are likely to move in from the northeast during the day. Some snow over hills.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Remaining cold with some wintry showers and some sunshine. It stays very cold over the weekend but many places will stay dry with just the odd sleet or snow shower.
